We are seeking an Engineer to support our corporate client located in Buffalo, NY.

ENGINEER - Buffalo, NY

Responsibilities:

• Provide, in order of importance, safety, comfort, and efficiency at the buildings for which the management team holds responsibility.
• Oversee the activities of contractors engaged in operating and maintaining facilities and equipment and contractors involved in tenant construction of the buildings.
• Provide daily operations of the building with the objective of safely and effectively operating machinery and systems.
• Regularly inform the Chief Engineer of any conditions effecting building services and tenant safety or comfort.
• Respond to the needs of the tenants, the other members of the property team in a prompt and professional manner.
• Assist in necessary tenant services, preventative maintenance, general maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, management of contracted maintenance.
• Responsible for personal technical proficiency of operations.
• Participate in programs to train property team members in the installation, programming, safety, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Protect and improve the value of the owner's assets and ensure the building's machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated design and life cycle.
• Participate in the preparation for the Operations Audit to meet and exceed the agreed upon performance level for the property.
• Participate in all initiatives relative to Energy and Environmental Sustainability.
• Meet or exceed all client targets.
• Participate in maintenance and repairs of building and building systems; assist in facilitation of PM program.

Requirements:

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience in facility management / building maintenance.
• Knowledge of commercial and corporate real estate building systems maintenance.
• Appropriate trade certifications / licenses.
• Good organizational / interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to emergencies.
• Remain calm under pressure.
• Must be proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking.
