Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Managing Director of Asset Services, the Asset Manager & Business Development Director will be responsible for sourcing new business and managing a portfolio of industrial, office, retail and other commercial properties and develop strategies that create value for each asset. The Asset Manager & Business Development Director will handle all aspects of managing and operating each property and will be accountable to the owner of the property and third party clients.
Duties Include:
Marketing asset management services to financial institutions
Create and implement property business plans with the goal of maximizing value of each property while minimizing risks
Prepare quarterly management reports for distribution to partners and/or clients
Oversee property management, leasing teams & construction management personnel
Development of annual Hold/Sell analysis and Capital Expenditure Budgets
Work with our brokerage professionals and analysts as needed to share best practices, prepare new business presentations and make recommendations to sell assets that have met or exceeded financial goals
Continual evaluation of changing commercial real estate market conditions and the related impact on the properties under management
Job Requirements:
Demonstrated expertise in marketing and sourcing third party commercial real estate services
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate including direct asset management responsibility
Bachelors degree with emphasis in finance or real estate, MBA a plus
Demonstrated experience with mortgage finance, financial reporting, property due-diligence, budget preparation and forecasting
Organized, self motivated, strong communication and analytic skills
Ability to multi-task with strong sense for meeting deadlines
Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, tact and diplomacy
Strong follow-through skills and detail orientated
Ability to organize and manage changing priorities
Proficient computer skills with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel and in real estate related software such as Argus, DYNA and Yardi
Team player with initiative/pro-active attitude/strong work ethic
Excellent time management skills
Professional attitude and decorum
