Operations Manager

Mission Critical Environment 

 

EMCOR Facilities Services, the world-leading provider of planning, consulting, mechanical, and electrical construction and facilities services, has an opportunity available in Princeton, NJ.This individual will be responsible for managing all activities related to the operations and maintenance of Data Center facilities at one or more of our specific client locations.  

 

Essential Duties and responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensuring maximum critical MEPF (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Fire Protection Equipment/System) asset uptime
  • Development, deployment and measurement of the maintenance strategy for data center MEPF assets
  • Managing all aspects of mechanical and electrical capacity and supporting MEPF infrastructure reliability for data center clients
  • Managing installation of MEPF infrastructure in support of moves, adds, and changes of IT hardware
  • Infrastructure capacity management and reporting
  • Overseeing all work from initiation through work completion and invoicing to ensure that maintenance and repair work conforms to both EMCOR and customer standards
  • Performance reporting
  • Managing critical infrastructure projects from design phase through due diligence, commissioning, acceptance testing, documentation and sign off
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates must have at least 3-6 years of facilities experience, along with a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a major in Engineering or Facilities Management; or other suitable technical degree.  Must also have 5 years of experience in Operation and Maintenance management in a mission critical environment; and knowledge of UPS, emergency generators, motor control centers, fire protection suppression systems, supervisory control and data acquisition monitoring systems and other building or control systems.  Experience with central plant/chiller, electrical, emergency power systems, energy management, general repairs, package units, pneumatic controls, water treatment and fire life safety; and proficiency with computer applications, specifically MS Office, database management applications, Internet browsers, etc. are a must. Experience with operations and maintenance for a financial institution is preferred.
