Darcy Stacom and Bill Shanahan are seeking a seasoned investment sales broker for their Investment Properties Institutional Group to source and service new business in addition to working as part of a team to execute transactions sourced by team principals. Please note that this is a commission based position.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Extensive industry contacts and name recognition, especially among New York property owners.
• Understanding of and/or expertise in a variety of real estate related disciplines including but not limited to accounting, finance, zoning, leases, contracts, building operations and code compliance among others.
• Proven negotiating and closing skills
• Facility with investment and valuation concepts and software, including Argus and Excel, and the ability to formulate creative financial structures
• Facility with a wide range of legal documents, e.g. leases, contracts, partnership operating agreements, mortgage documents, title reports etc.
• Extensive New York related experience in various product types, including office, multi-family, retail and hotel transactions, and familiarity with local market conditions ,due diligence materials and regulatory issues specific to each
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to create compelling and visually appealing marketing materials
• Strong, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to interface with analytical, graphics and support staff
• Ability to simultaneously work within a team framework with opportunity to source new business independently

The position requires the ability to perform on a consistently high level in a time sensitive environment. At any given moment, the successful candidate will be working on number of projects in different phases while simultaneously being rewarded for generating new business.
