Overview:

CoStar Group is currently seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused Research Associates at our state of the art White Marsh, MD office. As a Research Associate, you are the foundation of CoStar's business. The overall goal of the Research Associate is to effectively maintain a portfolio of active commercial real estate companies by regularly interviewing commercial real estate professionals to ensure that CoStar's database accurately reflects their listings, inventory, and recent deals.

Responsibilities:

 

  • To grow an accurate and complete database of commercial real estate inventory, for lease and for sale listings, lease comps, sale comps, and tenant data.
  • Conduct 20+ phone interviews per day of a portfolio of companies, to ensure all their listings (for sale and for lease) are accurately reflected in the CoStar database.
  • Capture transaction info from portfolio- new listings, new sales comps, new lease deals. Convert leads from outside sources to new transactions and contacts- these sources include web sites, field leads, SEC filings, news stories, and tax records.
  • Effectively brand CoStar during research interviews.
  • Write news stories on breaking commercial real estate news uncovered through research.
  • Provide assistance to customers during update process if they need help using products.


Qualifications:
  • Professional work experience or college degree is required.
  • Successful candidates will have comfort and/or experience in an environment that measures and rewards individuals for meeting and exceeding performance targets.
  • Customer service/ call center and commercial real estate experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to learn & apply concepts are essential.
  • Successful candidates will also have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
