We are seeking a Vice President - Strategic Consulting for our New York City office.

VICE PRESIDENT - STRATEGIC CONSULTING - New York, NY

This exciting opportunity is available within the firm's Strategic Consulting Team, which increases competitive business advantage for clients by delivering tailored and innovative real estate solutions. The successful candidate will drive strategic and portfolio planning activities on project teams for key occupier clients and will provide decision support materials to optimize the real estate portfolio through a total cost management focus.

The Vice President will develop enterprise and line of business real estate strategies, recommendations, and drive implementation for our clients in the following areas:

  • Portfolio Strategy Development Location Advisory Merger and Acquisition Strategy Financial Engineering Workplace Solutions Corporate Real Estate Organizational Strategy Six Sigma Process Design



Responsibilities:
This position encompasses strong analytical and financial skills as well as organizational and client management skills.

  • Develop complex corporate real estate strategies supported by demographic and financial analyses to provide, communicate and implement creative approaches that will allow our client's to optimize their real estate solutions.
  • Proactively manage execution of client engagements to ensure excellence, consistency and profitability.
  • Provide required business case and other documentation necessary to enable clients to implement our recommendations.
  • Support Strategic Consulting knowledge management by assisting in the development of project process, tools, and client deliverables that will be included in best practices.
  • Support senior leadership with preparation and as-needed assistance with major Corporate Solutions account pitches or proposals.
  • Actively participate in industry forums, conferences, and membership in key civic organizations.
  • Assist in efforts to leverage insights, collaboration and delivery to ensure that we remain the industry leader in product innovation

Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced client advisor and portfolio strategist, with strong skills in problem solving, client management, and business development as evidenced by prior work and educational history.

  • MBA or other advanced degree is highly desirable
  • 5-7 years of management consulting experience and/or commercial real estate related experience, with an emphasis on consulting/advisory work
  • Strong background and proven experience with portfolio planning, financial analysis, and location analysis
  • Sharp analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to communicate results both orally and written
  • Project execution experience, leadership, and client management skills
  • Proficiency in finance and accounting concepts, and financial modeling
  • Strategic thinker with an emphasis on business strategy and the ability to identify real estate solutions to business challenges
  • Tactical thinker with the ability to convert strategies to actions and results
  • Experience working as a team player in a matrix organization
  • Proven ability to handle complex issues, delivering on time and within budget
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignment and/or initiatives at once
  • Ability to work virtually with other colleagues
  • High degree of independence, initiative, responsibility, and accountability
  • Fluency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
