Directs key global initiatives related to facility operations and maintenance including: strategic planning and forecasting, coordination and consolidation of global facility operations to maximize efficiency, development and implementation of policies and processes, development of operating standards and SLA's, and resource planning and management. Also develops and tracks key building operating metrics, develops vendor management programs, and is responsible for day-to-day facility management. Reports all activities on a timely basis and is responsible for expense control, budget management, and CAPEX planning.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lease & Landlord coordination & communication
  • Financial & Budget Management

    • Develops, tracks, reconciles, & communicates ground-up budgets, O&M budgets, and capital improvement (CAPEX) budgets
    • Short & long range financial planning
    • Develops & reports financial metrics for building operations
    • Drives value in all aspects of facility operations
    • Day-to-day cost control
    • Operating expense pass thru management
    • Vendor payment
  • Reports key building operating and financial information
  • Managerial and development responsibilities for global staff and resources
  • Day-to-day facility operations & maintenance of new & existing facilities
  • Risk assessment & mitigation
  • Emergency & crisis management & reporting
  • Special events management
  • Vendor and material procurement through scoping, negotiation, bidding, contracts, etc.
  • Fosters sustainable practices and utilizes sustainable products and materials where cost effective and practical
  • Furniture & misc. facility equipment coordination
  • Coordinates programs & initiatives with Dir. of EH&S
  • Internal Services (responsibilities vary by location)

    • Fleet cars, parking, catering, travel, office supplies, receptionists, copy center, mailroom, couriers, mobile phones, etc.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders:

    • Corporate Real Estate (CRE): Transactions, Project Management, Finance, E. H. & S., Office Services, etc.
    • Procurement, Security, I.T., Special Events, H. R., Marketing, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Legal, etc.
  • Compliance with applicable laws & regulations

Qualifications:

  • Extensive facility management experience, preferably in a Corporate environment
  • Strong leadership/management & communication skills
  • Extensive experience developing and reconciling financial reporting tools including ground-up O&M budgets, capital budgets, long-term financial plans and associated metrics
  • International facility management experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with mechanical & electrical equipment
  • College degree
  • Skilled in MS Office
  • Available for travel as required
  • Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
  • 24X7 availability to respond to emergency situations required
