Associate - J. E. Robert Company

This position is responsible for the completion of all aspects of the investment process, including acquisition and asset management functions. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of real estate asset types and investment structures. The Associate will provide real estate and financial analysis, conduct market research and asset-level due diligence, and prepare investment committee presentations. The Associate will asset manage unrealized investments, overseeing property level operations and executing business plans to maximize asset value. The Associate will have substantial interaction with operators, partners, and investors. Other duties include: Maintaining and modifying cash flow forecasts on owned and targeted assets on an as needed basis Reviewing loan agreements, management agreements, property leases, JV agreements, and other deal documentation Analyzing owned asset operating performance to determine valuation and assess debt and other compliance requirements Supporting marketing efforts for capital raising activities Provide periodic updates on owned assets to investors.

 This position requires a bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years related work experience, including investment banking. An advanced degree is desirable but not required. We seek individuals with strong quantitative backgrounds with the ability to build financial models along with excellent oral and written communication skills. In addition, individuals should be highly motivated, a team player, detail oriented, possess sound judgment, and have the ability to work in a fast paced unstructured environment that values initiative and poise. Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
