| Employer: | Friends Christian High School | | Job Location: | Yorba Linda , CA | | Cash Compensation: | | | Industry Type: | | | Job Description: | The new Friends Christian High School project being built in Yorba Linda, CA is preparing to move forward and it currently has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager/Owner’s Representative to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of construction experience, inclusive of multiple educational projects with a construction value of over $25M, preferably from “ground-up”. Must be able to communicate effectively, multi-task successfully under pressure and deadlines, work under the direction of a Board and its appointed agent(s), and have knowledge of all facets associated with a new educational project, inclusive of sitework, site utilities, mechanical/electrical/plumbing and fire protection systems, parking, roadways, sports fields and street improvements. In collaboration with the owner’s agent, the candidate will oversee, manage and monitor the project’s scope, schedule and budget through the entire project phase; oversee and report daily on operations performed by contractors; attend meetings; maintain strong relationships; and be comfortable in a prayer/devotional environment. REQUIREMENTS
• A college degree, in a discipline directly applicable to construction or with related experience, is strongly preferred.
• 10-15 years project management and supervisory experience with strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to lead and manage people.
• Preference given to candidates with large educational related experience.
• Strong knowledge of design, construction, and project management.
• Able to lift moderate heavy objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with a strong attention to detail.
• Candidate must be local to Southern California and available for immediate full-time consideration.
• All candidates must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States
