The University of Wisconsin's Department of Real Estate and Urban Land Economics is one of the oldest undergraduate academic real estate programs in the world, and one of the best, consistently ranked as one of the top three real estate programs in the United States. The Department traces its history back to Richard T. Ely's 1925 program in Land and Public Utility Economics. Other renowned faculty from prior years include Richard U. Ratcliff, Richard B. Andrews, and James Graaskamp.

Among top real estate programs, UW is renowned for its breadth, awarding Bachelors, MBA, and Ph.D. degrees.

Program Highlights:

In addition to core courses in urban economics, finance and investments, and development, the program features international real estate, including field trips, and the Applied Real Estate Securities Program in which students manage an actual portfolio.
