COMPANY BACKGROUND: Founded in 1976, The Davis Companies has earned a reputation for integrity, creativity and excellence, making it one of the premier real estate investment, development and management firms in the northeast U.S. Our offices are located in Boston, MA and Norwalk, CT with a team of 100+ professionals dedicated to real estate acquisitions, management, development and other corporate functions. The Davis Companies currently owns and manages a real estate portfolio of 12 million square feet.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for managing and implementing the company’s overall communications, public relations and marketing strategy, with a particular focus on marketing associated with the company’s properties and development projects, and executing various marketing and communication plans, policies and procedures. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Summary • Manage and direct all aspects of communications, including branding, product messaging, public and industry relations, media relations, and marketing metrics, both for the Company and for its assets and projects. • Develop and maintain strong and consistent TDC brand, web design, advertising, and social media strategies. • Evaluate and monitor on-going marketing and public relations initiatives and programs; adjust to improve results • Manage and direct results-oriented marketing and public relations programs which produce measurable results. 

Public Relations • Collaborate with internal departments to create milestones, stories and events and develop and implement public relations and marketing strategies, including monitoring trends to position story opportunities. • Write, edit and coordinate the distribution of press releases and other strategic communications for the company and its properties. • Establish, maintain and leverage positive relationships with media outlets, consumers, public-interest groups and local communities. • Create opportunities to feature executive leadership in the media and at key industry events. 

Social Media • Develop and post the company’s social media outlets and content, following best practices across social channels. • Monitor social sentiment and respond to any inquiries. • Drive engagement, measure and evaluate effectiveness and optimize content and posting tactics. 

Corporate Brand Communications • Work with leadership and agency partners to execute effective advertising campaigns and promote the organization’s image consistently both internally and externally. • Retain and oversee, as needed, external branding, marketing, advertising, production and event planning agencies. • Allocate marketing resources, including marketing budget planning and management. 

Asset Communications • Collaborate with the Managing Director of Asset Management to establish and implement long- and short-term strategic marketing plans for various assets. • Coordinate with the asset managers and brokers to develop plans for effectively marketing office space to potential tenants, including developing targeted programs and presentations. • On development transactions, coordinate with the President of Development and project managers to develop marketing programs for TDC Development and the company’s development projects • Coordinate and assist Property Management with tenant events, public relations and crisis management initiatives and policies. 

QUALIFICATIONS: • B.S. degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related field required. • Minimum 5 years of marketing, public relations, social media, digital and/or communications experience with demonstrated success. • Strong writing, communication and project management skills. • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills required along with the ability to multi-task. • Specific experience with corporate and real estate public relations and/or marketing. • Understanding of the competitive landscape, strategic environment and metrics of measuring success within the public relations and social media marketing industry. • Experience managing departmental and project budgets. • Outgoing personality, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff and to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, high-growth environment. • Superb analytical skills, a creative mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Compensation will include a competitive base salary and bonus, 401(k)/profit sharing and an attractive benefits package.
