Mark IV Capital, a privately held, growth-oriented real estate company in Newport Beach is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to join its team focused on acquiring, developing, owning and operating commercial real estate assets throughout the Western United States. This is a position with the opportunity for growth and increased responsibilities.  The candidate will work closely with a team of analysts, regional vice presidents and executives, to gain valuable insight and experience in the real estate business, providing decision-support for all facets of the company’s business, including acquisitions, development, leasing, and other operational activities.  Examples of responsibilities include:

  • Discounted cash flow analysis related to leases
  • Assess lease proposals and the credit worthiness of prospective tenants
  • Support and manage lease negotiations with brokers and tenants
  • Manage lease preparation and administration
  • Acquisitions analysis and assistance in due diligence including credit analysis, lease abstracts and third-party report review
  • Analyze market information relating to proposed or existing investments
  • Ongoing analysis of existing real estate investments
  • Prepare various reports for management review
  • Support property managers with capital improvement and tenant improvement projects
  • Assist Regional Vice Presidents in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Manage and train Financial Analysts and interns
  • Some travel to assigned markets



  • Commercial real estate industry experience
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Argus
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in finance, economics or accounting


  • Working knowledge of asset valuation and acquisition principles
  • Experience in drafting and managing lease documentation
