To support our company’s rapid growth, we are hiring a Managing Director with a proven track record of sales success in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry and specifically the capital markets arena. This position will be based in either Florida or Atlanta, Georgia and reports to our Director of Sales at headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Managing Director, you will be responsible for selling our SaaS and Marketplace solutions to commercial real estate investment firms (sponsors) within your designated territory.  

Our customers are private real estate investment firms, so understanding how they think, act and invest, is paramount to success in this role. Your ability to ask questions in a conversational manner, discover the customer's needs and then diagnose their pain points are essential skills. The entire online investing space for private real estate industry is new, so you will need to be an effective education-based sales person with the ability to compel them to purchase...traditional closing skills still matter. Our technology solutions are complex, so you have to be very intelligent and adaptable with the ability to position our value-proposition based on your buyer's needs.

You will be partnered with a Sales Development Rep for your territory, whose primary responsibility is to make outbound calls, qualify prospects, and set you up for success by setting up high quality meetings for you. That said, it's your ultimate responsibility as the Managing Director to build a strong pipeline of opportunities and convert those into new customers.  You will be responsible for a quarterly quota and will have strong earning potential in this role.

Real estate is a relationship-based business, so your job does not end after your first sale is closed. Fortunately, you will be partnered with a Customer Success Manager on each of your customer accounts. Working in tandem, you will play an active role in selling new CrowdStreet Marketplace projects and cross-selling additional products and services.

This is a market based role, you will live and work in your territory and perform 10+ sales presentations on a monthly basis. Your knowledge of the local CRE landscape is something you will leverage to win more business for CrowdStreet, on the path to creating a dominant footprint in your territory.

Qualifications

What We Must Have:

  • 5+ year of experience in Commercial Real Estate and specifically the capital markets arena

  • 3+ years of experience selling innovative solutions into the financial services and/or real estate industry targeting new accounts

  • Deep rolodex of real estate investment managers in territory

Not Required, But Nice To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters Degree in Business or related field

  • Experience in technology selling a SaaS solution

  • Experience with selling a Marketplace solution

  • Experience with advanced sales automation tools (i.e. Salesforce)
