COMPANY BACKGROUND

Our client is one of the country’s leading commercial real estate finance advisory firms. Since its inception, the business has closed billions of dollars in financings on commercial real estate transactions by working closely with a full complement of capital providers, including local, regional and national banks, CMBS lenders, agency lenders, mortgage REITs, life insurance companies, credit unions and private equity funds.

The firm has arranged debt and equity financing for real estate deals across the U.S. working with all major commercial real estate asset classes nationally – and principals ranging from owners to small private investors to some of the largest institutional real estate owners and investors in the country.

POSITION PROFILE:

The VP Human Resources is a new position and will be responsible for establishing and cultivating a work environment that attracts, motivates and retains the best human capital. This will include guiding and supporting the corporate and regional operating businesses on all HR matters to meet the firm’s strategic objectives and the goals for growth and profitability.

Reporting to the COO, the VP Human Resources will be the strategic HR business partner to the chief executive, the executive committee and the management leadership team in its overall mission to drive an operational transformation. The VP HR will work closely with the COO to lead the business in the development and implementation of best-in-class HR policies, programs and procedures, as well as all HR templates and related documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Partner with COO and senior management to identify and address the critical HR needs of the organization - creating an effective long-term HR strategy and delivering results.  Key responsibilities include:

 

Drive the HR Organization by implementing and utilizing:

  • Employee Engagement
  • Market Intelligence

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 or more years of years of senior HR management experience
  • Proven experience in the following key areas:
    • Partnering with CEO/C Suite executives
    • Has effectively led the build-out of an HR function within a mid-size business
    • Proven effectiveness in leading a successful recruiting team
    • Building an HR organization from top to bottom
    • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced front office driven sales culture
    • Executive Compensation and Performance Management
    • Talent Management and Development; Employee Engagement
    • HR Continuous Improvement – designing and implementing processes and procedures
    • Has led a successful business and cultural transformation

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s in Business, OD, or HR preferred.
