Exeter is recruiting a financial analyst to support the firm’s investment, asset management and investor reporting functions. The analyst provides analytical and research support to assist senior team members in making real estate investment decisions related to acquisitions and portfolio management, as well as assisting with investor reporting. The analyst will specifically assist with investor reporting for our Japanese investors, therefore fluent Japanese (spoken and written word) is a requirement for this position.  The position will be based in Conshohocken, PA. Travel will be required.

Job Description

The Analyst will work as part of the fast-paced acquisitions and finance team supporting all elements of the acquisition and asset management process and will work directly with the head of acquisitions and the CEO on a daily basis. Additionally, the analyst will assist the head of investor reporting, with specific focus on Japanese investors.  Specific duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

•  ​         Develop financial models and other analytical tools for acquisition analysis utilizing Argus and Excel software

•           Property level underwriting of new and existing real estate investments

•           Collection and analysis of market data including interacting with RE brokers

•           Review of due diligence materials

•           Preparation of investment committee memorandums

•           Act as a liaison with accounting and finance staff to assist in quarterly valuations/client reporting and portfolio analyses, partner distribution waterfalls and risk management

•           Assistant with investor reporting, due diligence questionnaires, pitch books and other marketing materials

•           Special projects as needed

Candidate Profile

The candidate should have superior analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral forms. Superior financial knowledge and modeling skills are essential.  The ideal analyst candidate is expected to have an undergraduate degree in real estate, finance or business from a top-tier program.

Prior experience in real estate is preferred. An ability to speak, write and understand Japanese fluently is a requirement for this position.


Total compensation will be competitive with the market and will be based on the experience and capabilities of the candidate. Compensation is comprised of an annual salary and bonus.
