We are excited to have an opportunity for a forward thinking Real Estate Portfolio Manager to manage our UK portfolio.

This role will be part of our Workplace Solutions team which includes approximately 100 Capital One associates and 250 teammates from industry-leading outsourced service providers across our international footprint.

The Real Estate Portfolio Manager will have an opportunity to build our reputation for excellence in real estate management in the UK; using your experience and leveraging award winning expertise from US colleagues. Workplace Solutions is responsible for Corporate Real Estate functions including; client management, footprint strategy, space planning, real estate transactions, design and construction, and facilities management. It is also responsible for food and dining services, conference centre management, fitness centres, employee parking and transportation.

So what will you do?

Reporting to the Workplace Solutions Director who is based in the US, you will lead a team comprising employees and contractors.

You will represent internal business clients on corporate real estate strategies including: Innovative workplace design, Integration with TECH partners, and the oversight of day-to-day operations (facilities management, project management and space planning). Understanding the line of business’ organizational goals and gaining alignment on approach are key deliverables for this position.  You will lead and contribute to the Corporate Real Estate planning process, determine needs, and convene the appropriate resources and processes needed to support business requirements.  

  • Annual capital planning and operating budgets creation, tracking and forecasting throughout the year

  • Design and implementation of critical systems, backup power and building infrastructure

  • Building, developing and motivating high performance teams.

  • Ensuring operational execution is aligned with corporate standards and governance

  • Managing multiple workstreams effectively.

  • Leading and integrating activities of local team and coordinate with partners and key executives as appropriate

  • Establishing the Regional portfolio plan (includes monitoring capacity), requiring frequent interaction with senior executives and partnership in the development of service needs

  • Provision of regional leadership on all real estate operations functions and work closely with the leads of horizontal functions

  • Work closely with peers in other regions and internal Corporate Real Estate senior management

  • Manage a diverse set of third party vendors to execute on key responsibilities and monitor supplier performance

  • Manage of cross-functional teams including close coordination with Security, IT, and HR on behalf of the shared internal client

  • Develop solutions and influence senior management on real estate recommendations

  • Plan, lead and execute projects according to timelines deliver within budget#

There will be some travel to the US including an Annual Strategy meeting plus some travel between Nottingham and London.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in business, finance or related subject and prior Facilities/Supplier/Project and People Management.
