Our privately held enterprise is actively engaged in development and management of many distinctive properties. Within our multi-faceted organization, we are immediately seeking a Financial Analyst.

The Financial Analyst, as an integral part of the Financial Services Team, will provide support services to the Financial Reporting and Services Division, the Development Division, the Asset Management Division and the Property Management Division in underwriting and analyzing the existing real estate portfolio, future acquisition and development opportunities in helping to achieve and evaluate strategic goals for each Division.   The analyst role provides analysis of existing and new property financing, capital structures and input into the budgeting process for investments of the Company, thereby assisting in the setting of strategic goals for specific investments and Operating Divisions.

Job Functions:

1.  Assist in initial feasibility analysis of potential acquisitions and development projects. 

  1.   Create, manage, and update pro-formas for potential acquisitions and development projects.
  2.   Conduct sensitivity analysis, breakeven analysis, and “what if” scenarios for the existing portfolio, potential acquisitions, and development projects.
  3.   Calculate returns assuming various capital structures.
  4.   Assist in lender and partnership reporting.
  5.   Produce ad-hoc financial reports to assist management in various decision making      processes.
  6.   Compile and analyze combined property performance at portfolio level.
  7.   Assist in the annual budget preparation and review process.
  8.   Review and underwrite existing properties annually to assist in determining future investment strategies.
  9.   Assist with financial reporting at an entity, consolidated, and combined level

Education and Experience:

Minimum undergraduate real estate or finance degree with two years real estate experience.  MBA or Real Estate Master’s Degree helpful. Experience in real estate investment underwriting and analysis, having a clear understanding and ability to calculate ROI, ROE, IRR and how to utilize in the decision making process. 

  1. Strong computer skills including, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.  Experience with real estate software programs, MRI and Argus is a plus.
  2. Strong business acumen.
  3. Strong logical and analytical thinking abilities. 
  4. Be able to work independently and within a team.
  5. Highly organized and efficient.
  6. Self-starter.
  7. Ability to clearly communicate results of analysis and provide recommendations to others.
  8. Team player.
