Director of Branding and Communications

The Director of Branding and Communications will be responsible for the coordination, enhancement and innovation around the Columbia Residential brand and communication channels for that brand.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop a brand strategy that's innovative and keeps the organization current
  • Responsible for communicating the organziation's position on topics and issues to the media and general public
  • Provide all media (newspapers, magazines, radio, web sites, etc.) with notices of upcoming newsworthy events and advertising
  • Partner with business unit leaders to coordinate outside consultant's media and public relations events
  • Write press releases
  • Coordinate photo shoots
  • Manage all websites and web presence
  • Manage all publications and print materials
  • Conduct employee training to ensure companywide messaging
  • Develop and manage the organization's Social Media Strategy/Presence
  • With the approval of the owner's, may act as spokesperson for the organization

  • Communication proficiency - Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Ability to use a personal computer and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

Other Requirements:

  • Must be reachable at all times via phone except during approved time off
  • Some travel required
