We are seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to supervise the overall operations of subsidized housing and tax credit multi-family, multi-site portfolio in New York. A Regional Property Manager is to be responsible, under the direction of Senior Management, for overseeing the operation of a portfolio of properties through site personnel, and monitor fiscal and occupancy status for properties through regular reports. This manager must have a proven track record in managing properties, be a motivator, a good communicator, and a hands-on manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor property budgets through monthly reports and provide input regarding status of budget as needed.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies.

  • Monitor collections, collection loss for each property through computer generated reporting systems.

  • Participate in pre-employment interviews and make hiring recommendations as needed.

  • Maximize the gross potential by utilizing the approved marketing plan and raising rents when possible.

  • Negotiate and recommend contracts to Senior Management.

  • Prepare and submit monthly report detailing occupancy and fiscal performance.

  • Monitor performance of staff through periodic inspections of properties and reviews.

  • Prepare and review performance appraisals and discuss with subordinates as appropriate.


    Qualification for Position:

  • Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, social science area, or closely re elated field

  • Knowledge of Management policies and procedures, particularly as they pertain to property management.

  • Knowledge of laws and standards that apply to property management.

  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance, fire prevention and liability reduction principles.

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in property management (preferably, multi-family )

  • Certifications related to the position (COS, EIV, LIHTC, etc.) a plus.

  • Microsoft office applications with an in-depth knowledge of Excel

  • Experience and proficiency in specialized industry software, specifically, OneSite Leasing and Rents, MRI, or Yardi.
