Pegasus Asset Management (“Pegasus”) is currently hiring an Asset Manager that will be an integral member of a growing commercial real estate asset management firm that focuses on primarily retail real estate assets. The position will be solely focused on managing, enhancing, and growing one of Pegasus’ largest and most dynamic client accounts, a Los Angeles-based family office with nationwide holdings. The daily job responsibilities will entail a wide array of asset management functions to maximize the performance of the client’s fast-growing portfolio.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing critical analytical and operations support for asset management activities
  • Performing market research, competitive analysis and asset-specific opportunity assessments and adhering to strategic business plans for each property
  • Collaborating with third-party leasing brokers to develop and manage marketing and leasing programs to assist in achieving property related leasing goals
  • Working with in-house operations team to improve property related operations, including driving key process improvements and cost-savings measures
  • Managing third party engineers, consultants and contractors to complete property repairs and capital projects
  • Occasional travel to various properties in connection with tenant meetings, leasing prospects, standard site diligence and construction management functions

The successful candidate for this position will have a demonstrable track record of taking full “ownership” of business challenges and opportunities, driving processes and performance improvements, and successfully managing professional processes to deliver optimum results. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2-5 years of professional work experience; asset management experience required
  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate concepts and analysis, specifically leasing
  • Exceptional analytical skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be organized and detail-oriented and to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

 

This position reports to the Vice President of Asset Management and will have significant access and exposure to the client as well as the principals and executives of other Pegasus operating companies.
