This opportunity is to work directly with the President and Founder of the firm who is one of the most successful and experienced commercial real estate brokers in the country. You would have direct oversight in the creation of all financial underwriting and analytical services to the most sophisticated investors and lenders worldwide including REIT’s, Pension Fund Advisors, Family Offices, High Net Worth Investors, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Foreign Investors. You will be key part of a nine member team tasked with some of the largest and most noteworthy disposition and financing assignments in the industry. Assignments will include all property types with an emphasis on the full spectrum of retail and office properties including Regional Malls, Lifestyle Centers, Power Centers, Community / Neighborhood Centers, Mixed Use Projects, CBD and Suburban Office Buildings.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Underwriting and modeling all types of retail and office properties using Argus and Excel.
  • Analyze leases, operating statements / budgets, CAM reconciliations and loan documents.
  • Understand current market conditions in order to support underwriting assumptions used in preparing financial models.
  • Identify critical property level financial and operating issues and provide recommendations for resolution and value creation.
  • Ability to articulate (verbally and in writing) conclusions and recommendations in a clear, concise, and confident manner directly to property owners and financial institutions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Oversee Junior Financial Analyst.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in underwriting commercial real estate; specifically retail shopping centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS) with emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Real Estate; 3.5+ GPA and / or MBA preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytic skills. Must have a keen sense of numbers and financial concepts.
  • Organized, detail oriented, self motivated, and ability to multi-task. Strong sense for meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, tact and diplomacy and manage changing priorities.
  • Proficient computer skills: Argus (must be able to prepare from scratch), Excel, and Office.
