Position:

Colliers International Northeast Florida is actively seeking a Broker Associate to join our Jacksonville office. As a licensed real estate professional, you will work directly with a senior sales agent in the daily operation of the team’s business, expanding your knowledge in all aspects of commercial sales and leasing, including prospecting for prospective clients, maintaining a high degree of direct client contact, while working towards creating a large book of business. The Sales Associate is a highly demanding role requiring a unique combination of sales, financial and research skills. Opportunities for long-term growth to senior brokerage positions are possible.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Learn the Commercial Real Estate Leasing and Sales business.
  • Prospecting for new business.
  • Follow up on leads and opportunities.
  • Perform financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis in Excel and other programs.
  • Coordinate supporting materials for offer packages.
  • Review proposals and related documents.
  • Prepare and distribute presentations, reports, proposals, spreadsheets, correspondence and other documents.
  • Maintain databases to track prospects and business opportunities.
  • Participate in client meetings and respond to client questions regarding offer terms.
  • Assist the team in developing transaction strategy.
  • Assist with deals.
  • Attend industry events.
  • Eventual transition to independently managing transactions from start to finish.

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of real estate industry, terminology and documentation.
  • Self-motivated, well organized and with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Excellent financial analysis skills, including advanced spreadsheet applications experience (Microsoft Excel).
  • Exhibits high level of professionalism, passion for success and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail.
  • Desire to advance in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Florida Real Estate license required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Real Estate preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
