Broadstone is seeking a senior analyst to join our team.  Broadstone Real Estate, LLC is a full-service asset manager and real estate investment fund sponsor that serves as the sponsor of two real estate offerings, manages commercial and residential properties across 37 states, and is currently bringing a new product to market. Conducting in-depth research and financial analysis, the Senior Analyst will and be an integral position on the new product team.

Working closely with the Portfolio Manager, this position will be multifaceted in nature.  Responsibilities will primarily include the timely and accurate production of detailed financial analysis; and preparation and presentation of financial reports, findings and recommendations to inform decision making.  Additional responsibilities will include market/competitive analysis, liaising with third-parties, and coordinating with teams internally to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will be experienced in financial statement analysis and evaluation methods; have excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal skills; be able to communicate and work well with internal and external clients at all levels; and desire to advance their own and others’ knowledge through data analysis and research

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Create financial models including projections and valuation analyses as basis for making recommendations
  • Successfully translate data into clear, concise written and verbal presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations to management
  • Coordinate, and at times conduct meetings with third parties
  • Manage the aggregation and interpretation of information during the diligence process to evaluate the merits and risks of potential investments
  • Collect pertinent information from various sources, including online and hard copy publications, reference works, databases, analyst calls, press releases, reports, etc.
  • Conduct research and analysis of market and industry trends
  • Compare performance to similar products in the market for purposes of competitive analysis
  • Produce in-depth financial analysis, insights and management reports to closely monitor business performance and support informed decision making
  • Assist in preparing information to be included in various Board of Director and Investment/Portfolio Review Committee reporting 
  • Facilitate preparation of quarterly communications to shareholders and quarterly updates to marketing materials
  • Interface closely with finance, accounting, legal, and marketing team members
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to senior management
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as required



  • Strong financial analysis skills with an in-depth ability to read, evaluate and understand internal and audited financial statements
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, data manipulation and due diligence skills, with the ability to apply data management skills to complex business situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively present data, findings and recommendations
  • Understanding of finance, real estate and capital markets terms and concepts
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts, calculations and applications
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Experienced information gathering and information monitoring skills
  • Effective decision-making skills and an ability to perform under deadline pressure
  • Solid work ethic and a professional, proactive and positive approach to work
  • Able to prioritize and work on multiple analytical projects and follow through in a timely manner
  • Work well independently and in a team. Self-starter, but not hesitant to ask for direction as needed
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills



  • Bachelor’s degree with significant work in quantitative subjects
  • 5 to 7 years’ relevant work experience in a financial planning and analysis role
  • Experience in private equity and/or direct real estate investment a plus


Physical Demands:

  • Professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets; noise level typical of a standard office environment
  • Prolonged sitting, computer and telephone use, as well as filing, stooping, bending, reaching and lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds
