Position Summary

The TH Real Estate team is seeking to add a Director to support the Global Debt Team in the area of surveillance and asset management for all debt activity.  The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to work in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Newport Beach or Charlotte.

Major Responsibilities

  • Monitor borrower/asset/market level performance and generate internal investment summaries, memorandum and reports in connection with diverse, complex portfolio of commercial real estate loans with ability to present results (includes highly structured transitional loans, A/B structures and syndication loans).
  • Evaluate credit quality and performance to identify risk within the portfolio and make recommendations to senior management to mitigate the risks.
  • Monitor and enforce covenant and trigger events outlined in the loan documents.
  • Evaluate financial performance in an effort to internally value assets and apply risk ratings.
  • Review market research and projections to determine various factors impacting property level performance.
  • Identify and communicate potential defaults to senior management and monitor watch list loans.
  • Work closely with senior manager in analyzing and implementing strategies for workouts, restructures, foreclosures, acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Handle asset management including borrower requests requiring negotiating, structuring and recommending modifications.
  • Prepare/review investor reports and respond to investor requests.

 

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Real Estate (other majors considered depending upon experience).
  • Minimum 10 years of commercial mortgage asset management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Argus Enterprise and MS-Excel.
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal skills.

 

Desired Skills

  • Master’s Degree or CFA a plus.
  • Distressed Debt/Workout/Restructuring experience.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated team player with positive work ethic and comfortable working in a fast paced, demanding environment.
