A fully-integrated national multifamily investment, development, and property management company is looking for a Construction/Development Business Operations Analyst in their Houston, TX regional office to support the execution of the Company’s construction/development platform by performing strategic project management analyses, tracking, and reporting on the status of multifamily construction/development projects within the company-wide national database. This position provides strategic and tactical support to the division, department, and/or city office. Team members in this role support development operations regionally or nationally through the coordination and execution of various processes, programs, projects and tasks that foster improved operations. Provides support and assistance to key business leaders, and others by fielding questions and requests, gathering data and reports, and assisting in resolving issues related to operating policies, procedures, and Company business practices.
Participates in or completes special projects and other assignments by planning and coordinating tasks and activities with other team members, contracting with vendors, service providers, and other internal or external resources as needed, and following through to complete specific tasks and activities.
Supports development team’s project management responsibilities by managing and organizing detailed project files, and maintains archival process of all documents for new developments.
Assist and participate in the planning, organizing and administration of critical projects and programs.
May run standard and ad-hoc reports utilizing a variety of reporting tools.
Originate, compile and analyze statistical and other documents and data as requested or required.
Serve as a primary point of contact for a specific project/program initiative or body of ongoing responsibilities not requiring immediate attention of someone in a leadership role; helps to direct inquiries or action items to the appropriate parties and follow up to ensure it’s been addressed.
Audit and ensure relevant documentation is received in support of programs/processes to maintain company or regulatory compliances or meet important deadlines.
Maintains a data warehouse containing information that supports operations and data analysis.
Develops project implementation work plans, monitors progress and adjusts, as necessary, in order to ensure effective and efficient development efforts.
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of proposed development transactions within the assigned geographic region, establishes critical timelines and deadlines for tasks and activities related to the proposed transaction, and identifies and effectively addresses issues or problems that could otherwise adversely affect closing.
Expert-level proficiency in spreadsheet, running queries, and database management programs to complete, design, and develop required reports and documents. Experience in Timberline and other Company software applications related to budgeting and overall project management.
