Position Overview:

The Investment Associate will be based in Los Angeles and will play a critical role in the underwriting and execution of new investment opportunities. The positon plays an integral role in investment team through timely, appropriate and accurate financial modeling and reporting to support the company’s investment management and asset management requirements.

Conducting proforma and financial analysis including sensitivity analysis and investor projections for new investment opportunities projects. The Development Analyst’s job is to quickly, through a calculated approach, ascertain the key variables and to understand how they affect the economics of a project. It is the Analyst’s responsibility to incorporate these sensitivities into the project proforma and other reports.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Quantitative Analysis:

  • Develop complex financial models in Excel and Argus as part of investment underwriting of real estate debt and equity investment opportunities
  • Prepare ad hoc re-forecasts of existing investments


Investment management support and coordination:

  • Maintain the investment pipeline on a weekly basis
  • Work with investment team to support all due diligence, research, marketing and asset management efforts
  • Liaise with back office to support various asset management and marketing requirements for existing investments
  • Compile and summarize market research reports and data in selective real estate sectors and capital markets
  • Evaluate market comparable in selected real estate sectors and geographical markets

Presentation and Document Writing:

  • Prepare all investment management documentations including but not limited to investment overview, investment pitch book, investment memorandum, investment committee package
  • Assist investment team with the preparation and review of all transactional documents including but not limited to purchase and sales agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents and management agreements



  • Undergraduate degree from top-tier institution
  • 2-5 years’ experience in an investment / financial role in real estate
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills
  • Exceptional business writing skills
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Argus
  • Proficient in Chinese and/or other Asian Languages preferred
  • Strong work ethics and highest ethical standards
