Position Overview:

The Investment Analyst will be based in Boston and will play a critical role in the investment and development management of two existing development projects in Boston and in Manhattan along with other new development opportunities.  The positon plays an integral role in investment and project management team through timely, appropriate and accurate financial modeling and reporting. Responsible for assisting investment personnel and project managers with various types of financial analysis and market research to support the company’s investment and development management activities.

Conducting proforma and financial analysis including sensitivity analysis and investor projections for pre-development and development projects, the Investment Analyst’s role is to quickly, through a calculated approach, ascertain the key variables and to understand how they affect the economics of a project. The Analyst will be responsible to incorporate these sensitivities into the project proforma and other reports under the direction of the investment and development managers.

Key job activities and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Quantitative Analysis:

  • Build and maintain financial models for development projects including various debt and equity capital structures
  • Prepare ad hoc re-forecasts of existing investments
  • Assist with site research, in-depth market analysis and development scenario proforma analysis related to asset management of existing projects and new acquisitions


Investment support and coordination:

  • Maintain the existing portfolio reporting on a weekly basis
  • Develop financial models in Excel and Argus as part of investment underwriting of other real estate investment opportunities in the region on an as need basis
  • Compile and summarize market research reports and data in selective real estate sectors and capital markets
  • Evaluate market comparable in selected real estate sectors and geographical markets

Presentation and Document Writing:

  • Work with finance group to prepare project information packages for the purposes of obtaining debt and equity financing
  • Work with development and finance group to prepare project information packages for the purposes of servicing lenders and investors
  • Prepare all investment management documentations for new investment opportunities including but not limited to investment overview, investment pitch book, investment memorandum, investment committee package
  • Assist investment team with the preparation and review of all transactional documents for new investment opportunities including but not limited to purchase and sales agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents and



  • Undergraduate degree from top-tier institution
  • 2-5 years’ experience in an investment / financial role in real estate
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills
  • Exceptional business writing skills
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Argus
  • Prior development or construction experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and highest ethical standards
