        Arizona Business Bank is currently seeking a Real Estate Banker at our Phoenix location. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development (60% of time)

Real Estate Bankers add value to prospects and clients by serving as a business advisor and facilitator. The Banker provides introductions to experts, facilitates networking opportunities, recommends solutions for business/operating issues, and identifies product solutions and support to align with the individual and company’s short and long-term goals and objectives.

Transaction Execution (25% of time)

Real Estate Bankers orchestrate the review, analysis, approval and execution of loan transactions by coordinating the interaction between the client, the FCM, Loan Administrator and other key parties internal to CoBiz to complete transactions designed to meet the complete financial needs of clients. 

Portfolio Administration (5% of time)

Real Estate Bankers provide strategic guidance and direction to Loan Administrators and Portfolio Administrators with respect to daily administration of the loan portfolio. Additionally, Bankers take action in situations that require direct negotiation or interaction with clients regarding loan performance or compliance.

Coaching (10% of time)

Real Estate Bankers mentor, coach and act as a resource for Bankers that are less experienced and/or new to CoBiz. 

Qualifications

Real Estate Bankers will be expected to demonstrate mastery of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of general banking principles and regulations. 
  • Advanced knowledge of lending practices, treasury management and depository products.
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit structure and general accounting principles.
  • Broad knowledge of a variety of businesses and industries.
  • Strong business development and client relationship skills.
  • Effective call planning and execution.
  • Successful negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership capability.
  • Exceptional collaboration and teamwork approach.
  • Creative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple efforts in a growth-oriented environment, remaining focused on achieving successful outcomes.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding client and Bank information.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and internal Bank systems.

Education/Formal Training/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or appropriate business-related field
  • Minimum ten years previous Banking experience.
