The Company is a real estate developer and manager, headquartered in NYC. We seek a Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Management to evaluate potential development and acquisition opportunities as well as assist in evaluating the performance of existing assets. The candidate will need to pitch investment ideas to the President and the partners of the company. The candidate will be responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, primarily using Excel and ARGUS. The candidate must have the ability to create models to analyze various real estate related ventures including joint-ventures. In addition, the candidate will be required to creating investment memoranda and conduct in-depth market research and property-level due diligence. The candidate will work closely with other senior team members.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Sourcing and identifying potential acquisitions and development opportunities.
Prepare complex financial models in both Excel and Argus, including cash flow projections, operating pro formas, valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, investment returns and sensitivity analyses on prospective property acquisitions or development.
Write investment memoranda that thoughtfully assesses key investment risks.
Produce marketing materials and presentations, and participate in meetings with owners and partners on potential acquisition and redevelopment opportunities.
Conduct property-level due diligence including review of leases, property financial information and third-party reports
Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into project-specific deliverables and valuation models.
Participate in the origination and execution of property financings and recapitalizations.
Assist in the planning, construction and marketing aspects of the development process.
Assist in formulating long-term asset strategies.
Work on special projects as assigned.
10 + years of relevant NYC real estate experience with a specific focus on acquisitions and asset management.
Proven investment track record of creating and closing commercial real estate transactions with a focus on experience in residential and commercial properties within New York City Metropolitan area
Strong computer orientation and proficiency with ARGUS, Excel, Word and PowerPoint software required.
Strong financial modeling and analysis experience is required.
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners.
