Over The Edge is a special events company that provides signature rappelling events for non-profit organizations throughout the world. To date Over The Edge has helped raise 70 million dollars for non-profit organizations. Participants are invited to raise pledges in exchange for the experience of rappelling over the edge of a local high-rise building.  As a fast-paced growing company, we are searching for a Senior Manager to grow our property host relationships within the OTE Global business line. Senior Manager – Event Venue Relations Job Description / Overview:

Responsible for securing properties to host Over The Edge rappelling events across the United States. These properties mainly include, but are not limited to, hotels and commercial properties. As an instrumental part of the OTE team, the Senior Manager – Event Venue Relations, will provide market direction to the sales team, along with working closely with current clients to acquire host properties. This is an instrumental role to Over The Edge achieving maximum profitability and growth in the United States and helping our clients reach their fundraising goals.


Core Functions & Job Duties:

  • Develops outreach strategy that ensures attainment of goals and profitability
  • Sources decision makers and makes direct outreach to Property Owners and Management
  • Hosts conference calls with decision makers, legal and risk representatives
  • Attends applicable trade shows and conferences
  • Negotiates legal contracts on behalf of Over The Edge with potential building partners
  • Assists in the development of marketing plans and execution
  • Maintains relationships and follow-up with current host properties
  • Thorough documentation of all activity in Salesforce

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • 3-5 years sales experience
  • Experience in property management or the hotel industry and asset
  • Post-secondary education (University preferred) in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with managing prospect databases
  • Computer literacy - working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Experience using a CRM package (Salesforce) an asset
  • Ability to work alone or as a member of a team
  • Proven leadership and ability to achieve targets


Working Conditions:

  • Home office or Halifax, NS office based
  • Travel required
