HFF Securities is seeking an analyst to join its team in Los Angeles. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on prestigious real estate private placement engagements and develop an in-depth understanding of the real estate investment management industry.

The analyst will play an integral part in the capital raising process by:
Assisting with the preparation and production of presentations, offering memoranda and additional marketing materials for joint ventures, discretionary funds and other equity and debt offerings
Performing financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis in Excel, often in response to investor due diligence requests or client needs
Preparing regular client update reports throughout the capital raising process
Leading implementation and maintenance of investor CRM tool
Preparing and maintaining financial models in Argus
Researching market and institutional investment trends
Interfacing with real estate company executives and clients in meetings and conference calls
Self-motivated, team-oriented and coachable, with strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills
Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as an appreciation for thoroughness and details
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills; ability and desire to interface with top-level executives
Curiosity and passion for real estate; desire to learn about markets and trends impacting the real estate investment management industry
Experience in a financial analysis environment or related experience in finance, accounting, and/or commercial real estate is a plus
Outstanding academic credentials; Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word , and PowerPoint.
Argus experience a plus
