Eagle Rock is a vertically integrated Multifamily Real Estate company, headquartered in New York City with it's Management Company based in Long Island. The firm owns and operates over 6,000 Garden Style apartments located throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut & Pennsylvania. The Management Company is solely focused on Eagle Rock owned assets and does not third party manage. Our company has over 200 Real Estate Professionals and we are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team. The Construction Manager will oversee projects in the Philadelphia/South Jersey Region

Eagle Rock is currently expanding its Philadelphia / New Jersey portfolio.  With its newest acquisition, Eagle Rock will own and manage approximately 1,750 apartments throughout the Philadelphia and New Jersey region.  The capital budget for the new community is several million dollars, with a large emphasis on unit renovations and amenities, as well as correcting deferred maintenance. 

For the first several months, this new position will focus almost exclusively on implementing the capital plan for the new asset.  Once the projects are running smoothly, the Regional Construction & Maintenance Director will begin to oversee the maintenance and construction on the other six communities in the region, where the Director will oversee a maintenance team of approximately 11 individuals.  The overall goal for the Director will be to identify ways to reduce maintenance costs throughout the portfolio through training, preventative maintenance programs and hands-on oversight of all repairs.

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and oversee all facets of construction projects, with an initial focus on unit renovations
  • Attend weekly conference calls updating senior management as to anticipated timing and costs for all projects
  • Scope, bid, level and negotiate with contractors, architects and vendors
  • Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and materials
  • Must be able to handle purchasing, cost analysis and project management from start to finish
  • Oversee 11-person maintenance team
  • Standardize maintenance procurement

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 15 years of construction experience
  • At least 10 years project management experience in a leadership role
  • Large network of local vendors
  • HVAC certification preferable
  • Highly organized and ability to multitask
  • Hands on mechanical problem solver needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual is a plus
