Our opening is for an experienced Capital Markets and Investor Relations Manager who will be responsible for supporting all core responsibilities of the Vice President, including regular interaction with institutional investors, sell-side research analysts, investment bankers, commercial lenders and ratings agencies.


Specifically, Capital Market and Investor Relations Manager will be responsible for:


Investor Relations Support:

  • Analyze and respond on a timely basis to investor and analyst inbound inquiries
  • Communicate with key external constituents to promote company’s overall brand and support a favorable investment thesis for the stock
  • Update and create new content for the company's investor presentation, aimed at appealing to both long-only institutional investors and retail investors
  • Research and develop key “talking points” to address market concerns or misperceptions impacting company’s cost of capital
  • Provide actionable intelligence to Capital Markets VP, Executive Office, and other Department Heads on real-time investor sentiment and concerns
  • Support quarterly earnings call preparation, including the development of earnings press release content and conference call script
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate key stock surveillance analytics, with the goal of understanding technical drivers for relative and absolute stock price performance
  • Lead ad-hoc benchmarking analyses relative to company peers (i.e. disclosure, investor presentation content, IR practices, thematic conference call focus, etc.)
  • Partner with the Legal and Administration teams on governance-related research and initiatives
  • Assist with institutional investor outreach efforts, including investor targeting initiatives (using best-in-class investor intelligence tools)


Capital Markets Support:


  • Help develop capital raising strategy and execution, including equity and debt offerings, liability management, hedging, and other initiatives, with the goal of minimizing the firm's weighted average cost of capital
  • Organize, synthesize and help recommend capital raising ideas (structure, timing, size, etc.) based on a proprietary market outlook,
  • Interact regularly with investment banker product specialists
  • Assist in Capital Markets-related preparation for quarterly Board meetings
  • Regular tracking of industry cost of capital and other relevant metrics


Performs other duties as assigned.



Education and Experience

  • BS in Finance / Economics / Accounting or related field (preferred)
  • MBA preferred
  • 2-5 years of previous experience in equity research (sell-side or buy-side), investment banking, investor relations, corporate finance or treasury



  • CFA and/or CPA preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong financial acumen, a quantitative mindset, and stout attention to detail
  • Proactive, industrious, and intellectually curious
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to brainstorm, strategize, and execute in ambiguous situations
  • Desire to take initiative and identify opportunities to improve processes and “status quo”
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate (or better) skills in FactSet and SNL Financial data tools (preferred)
  • REIT industry experience (preferred)
