Avanath Communities is looking to add a Regional Manager to its newly established Middle Triangle Portfolio.  Currently, this portfolio consists of 4 assets - 2 in the Chicago area, 1 in Boulder, Colorado and 1 in Dallas, Texas.  This portfolio is comprised of 4 affordable communities and totals 926 units. 

Our ideal candidate has 10 plus years of multifamily experience in an array of positions with 7 plus years in a portfolio or regional director/manager position.  College degree is preferred. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Direct and support the personnel and performance of each site, coaching leaders and providing clear and concise feedback and direction, work with Human
    Resources director for decisions on hiring and firing. 
  • Deliver results in line with the firm's financial projections and operational budgets. 
  • Work with and support the Compliance and Cap Ex directors as needed in various projects and assignments. 
  • Respond with tact and grace to challenging resident calls and emails. 
  • This position will be home-based and travel is required to support the Colorado and Texas assets (estimated minimum of 3 days per month) and periodic travel to the corporate office in  Irvine, CA  

 

Your core competencies should include:

  • Solid working knowledge of Yardi Voyager.
  • Experience managing 10+ sites and teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Comfort with MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook and more).
  • The ability to prioritize, multitask and thrive.
  • Tax credit/affordable experience preferred.
