We are searching for a Financial Analyst who is a self starter, assertive, confident, and enthusiastic in our Boston, MA headquarters. Under the general direction of the VP Controller, the Financial Analyst in the Portfolio Performance Reporting group will own and drive the development, maintenance, updating and analysis of various comprehensive financial models and supporting analysis for Berkshire Group’s funds and accounts, maintain property valuation models and assist in special projects as directed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (These are the main duties/tasks of the position and important in order to be successful)
•Develop, maintain, update and analyze comprehensive fund and property financial models, integrating both historical, current and pro forma information; work closely with tvarious levels of the organization to effectively identify and address business issues through models and presentations, and prepare for adhock and regular meetings
•Develop a comprehensive understanding of the various business drivers of the multifamily sector and apply that knowledge in developing, maintaining and analyzing financial models
•Maintain the organization's historical track record integrating historical and liquidation values on a quarterly basis
•Maintain valuation models for investments on a quarterly basis
•Prepare aquisition and disposition analysis for fund investments
•Master existing company technology and assist in identifying, evaluating and implementing new technology tools to enhance the modeling, analysis and reporting of financial information
•Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes as requested and update models, as necessary
•Prepare ad-hoc analyses for special projects, as requested

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and Experience:
•3-5 years real estate financial analysis experience, multifamily preferred
•Experience in building complex business models using Excel or Excel based tools
•Ability to present thoughts, content and conclusions to senior management
•Ability to produce excellent quality work that is thorough, accurate, complete, consistent, and able to get information when requested.
•Has excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
•Works independently and with others; has complete ownership of work and projects
•Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
Technical/ Educational Requirements:
•Bachelor degree required.
•Strong computer skills; experience with Excel and Word
