VP, Commercial Real Estate Originations

We are currently looking for a Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Originations to work full-time in our Los Angeles office. The VP will be tasked with sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities for the RealtyMogul platform and our family of non-traded, public Real Estate Investment Trusts (“REITS”). Your impact will be immediate and critical to successfully scaling RealtyMogul as the leading online real estate investment platform.


 What You'll Do:

  • Proactively solicit commercial real estate companies to offer common equity, preferred equity, mezzanine debt and senior debt products
  • Review deal application packages for adherence to credit guidelines
  • Analyze investment opportunities, including financial, property, operator and credit analysis to ensure alignment with RealtyMogul investment criteria
  • Collaborate with outside and internal counsel to negotiate legal documentation including term sheets and operating agreements
  • Present transactions to RealtyMogul investment committee including financial strengths and weaknesses, risk assessments, strength of sponsor/guarantors, collateral and deal structures
  • Work with other VPs to oversee, mentor and train a team of Analysts and Associates


Who You Are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree with top academic and professional credentials
  • You have at least 7 years of experience with investment banking and/or private equity with a leading firm in commercial real estate
  • You enjoy picking up the phone and calling on warm leads; you have the 'hunter' mentality 
  • You have experience with multiple commercial real estate asset classes
  • You have strong quantitative and technical/computer skills, ability to model transactions
  • You are proactive and comfortable with an entrepreneurial environment with a strong interest in the real estate private equity industry
  • You have excellent communication skills; A true self-starter capable of accomplishing complicated tasks with limited supervision
