Established and rapidly expanding commercial real estate (CRE) firm seeks candidate to join our entrepreneurial team and provide financial leadership and management for real estate investment projects, through privately sourced debt and JV equity. The CFO will oversee the finance, accounting and risk management operations of the company on both global and entity by entity levels. The CFO will work directly with the executive team on all facets of the investment life cycle and play a key role in executing investment strategies.


This is an excellent, hands–on role for a talented finance leader to join a small and collaborative team and contribute to the continued growth of an entrepreneurial, privately-owned real estate development, investment and management platform.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Real Estate Finance, Commercial Banking, or Private Equity
  • Advanced Excel skills with ability to design/build complex models
  • Advanced Argus and Yardi skills preferred
  • GAAP Proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; JD, CPA, CFA or MBA / Masters in Real Estate encouraged

  • Responsible for leading project and corporate financing initiatives
  • Inspire, motivate, and lead a cohesive finance team, including external partners, in the execution of all financial functions
  • Manage investor relations as a single point of contact for lenders, high net worth and institutional investors
  • Review financial and operating results with Executive Management to ensure the Company and business units meet or exceed financial targets
  • Participate in key aspects of project finance, including risk analysis & management, due diligence and negotiations
  • Direct budgeting and forecasting processes for all investment projects, and work with Controller to ensure corporate forecasting includes most recent information
  • Perform modeling and financial analysis for all new projects (with the guidance of the CIO and in conjunction with the investment team), and performance analysis for all existing properties and projects
  • Scenario analysis and modeling for leasing activity, buy/sell/hold decisions and capital investment decisions
  • Manage debt financing platform for the company's real estate portfolio and for new and existing real estate investments
  • Develop corporate policies and procedures related to the company's financing initiatives
  • Review loan documents, manage loan closing process and manage loans once closed (including handling all lender and third-party deliverables)
  • Negotiate new loans, construction loans for new development projects and permanent refinances for maturing loans
  • Assist investment and development teams with in-depth due diligence on as needed basis
  • Assist in creation of offering memorandums and coordination of activities to raise equity capital from existing high-net-worth and institutional relationships
  • Develop new relationships that will provide capital for our growing pipeline of projects
