HFF Securities is seeking an analyst to join its team in Los Angeles. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on prestigious real estate private placement engagements and develop an in-depth understanding of the real estate investment management industry.

The analyst will play an integral part in the capital raising process by:
Assisting with the preparation and production of presentations, offering memoranda and additional marketing materials for joint ventures, discretionary funds and other equity and debt offerings
Coordinating information throughout the offering process, including document preparation prior to entering the market, investor tracking and client reports during the marketing process and investor selection and documentation during the closing process
Performing complicated financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis in Excel, often in response to investor due diligence requests or client needs
Leading implementation and maintenance of investor CRM tool
Preparing and maintaining financial models in Argus
Providing extraordinary service to clients, investors and colleagues
Researching institutional investment trends
Experience in a financial analysis environment or related experience in finance, accounting, and/or commercial real estate; directly related experience on financial modeling and investment analysis of commercial real estate assets preferred
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills; ability and desire to interface with top level executives
Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills
Self-motivated, team-oriented and coachable, with strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Curiosity and passion for real estate; desire to learn about markets and trends impacting the investment management industry
Outstanding academic credentials; Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Securities license (Series 7 and 63) and real estate salesperson license a plus.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word , and PowerPoint.
Argus experience a plus
