Senior Accountant

Reports to the Controller

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Controller in the preparation of the company’s financial reports, completion and distribution of project draw requests and processing of financial transactions of the company. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the processing of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, draw requests and general & entity accounting
  • Assist in the preparation of annual (and other time periods as requested) budgets through collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial information
  • Assist in the preparation of timely monthly and annual financial reports for the company’s Executives, Investors and outside Financial Institutions
  • Assist in the analysis of the company‘s actual financial results with the company budgets and analyze variances
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the General Ledger and the reconciliation of Bank and other accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly draw requests for multiple large construction projects
  • Communicate with the general contractor and subcontractors concerning the processing of invoices, notification of payments and waiver requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, quarterly reports, and annual valuations for investment fund
  • Responsible for review and confirmation of construction management system
  • Assist in the preparation of special reports and analysis as requested
  • Other duties as necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a four-year accredited college or university
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience
  • Experienced in Real Estate Development Accounting
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Yardi and other internet software
  • CPA license is preferred, but not required
