Position Title: Cost Manager
Department Name: Design & Construction
Reports to: VP, Design & Construction
Location: New York, NY
Lead cost management efforts for specifically assigned projects by liaising directly with the project team in order to provide the firm with a comprehensive understanding of the project finances and quantitative risk.
Execute a variety of tasks crucial to the implementation and completion of the project and ensure the projects run smoothly by working collaboratively with the project team including the Rockefeller Group team, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, tenants and clients.
The Cost Manager is responsible for project budgets, invoices, cash flows, risk registers, change orders, potential exposures and quantitative reporting. In addition, the Cost Manager will support the project management team by performing various project management tasks.
Bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying or degree with an emphasis in financial or quantitative analysis is preferred. A degree in Architecture or Engineering is acceptable with applicable experience.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills Requirements:
5 - 10 years relevant experience in general construction or real estate development, with specific experience in Cost Management.
