We are in search of a qualified and energetic individual to join our Real Estate Finance team!

We are a rapidly growing Real Estate Investment Management Company, with 6,000+ units of residential real estate and has an opening for a Senior Accountant directly working with the Company's Finance Director. 

Overview : The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing all accounting functions, not limited to preparing journal entries and account analysis for a portfolio of properties utilizing Yardi Real Estate Software.

Tasks-Duties-Responsibilities for this position: Analyzes accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department. Reviews records of accounts to ensure accuracy. Uses systems for the maintenance of financial records, making use of current technologies. Follows policy and procedures documents for accounting and bookkeeping personnel. Supports the completion of financial period closings within established deadlines. Prepare and record journal entries Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet accounts Assists in year-end audit preparation. Performs intuitive ad-hoc reporting as needed.


General Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA is a not required but a plus;
  • 3-6 years of real estate accounting experience;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Real estate and/or Real Estate Private Equity background a plus, but not a requirement;
  • Strong leadership qualities and entrepreneurial attitude;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite;
  • Yardi Software Experience a Plus
