ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This intern is to support the additional work load required for the opening of new manufacturing plant and movement of current employees from Regal Row.
An Intern from the interior design and space planning field of study will gain real life experience in the design setup, implementation and functionality of new office space.
Furniture: Coordinates the installation and moving of furniture with the end user, IST and Facilities Maintenance.
Employee Moves: Coordinates and schedule moves with involved personnel and departments to ensure smooth execution with minimal business disruption.
Space Planning: Work in conjunction with MK Workplace Strategist to assign space for all Dallas area employees.
Degree Program(s): Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Space Planning, Workplace Strategy or Facilities Management
Preferred Classification(s): Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student
Duration: Summer Internship
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Problem solving skills which are required to manage the technical and interpersonal issues inherent to the personnel and facility relocation process and space planning
Demonstrate the ability to read floor plans/blueprint drawings
