Summary of Position:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing CIEE international and domestic construction build outs and renovations and reports to the Director of Corporate Real Estate. The Project Manager manages multiple projects with an emphasis on project delivery in adherence to scope/schedule/budget;  site specific renovations, analysis, and recommendation and implementation of cost effective solutions.  Manages all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for all day-to-day aspects of projects assigned including supervision of external site specific project managers and consultants.

Project Management

  • In conjunction with project delivery vendors, prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate, budget, cash flow, work plan schedule and milestones, quality control, and risk identification/mitigation.

  • Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status variances. Create action and risk mitigation plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.

  • Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep corporate and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings.

  • Administer the collection of acceptable certificates of insurance, lien waivers and other required project documents, process consultant and contractor payments, monitor tenant improvement allowance budgets, and maintain project files.

  • Manage the successful completion and close-out of construction projects to assure Business occupancy and rent commencement by required dates.

  • Work with the project team to optimize the design, constructability and value of the project.

    Vendor Management

  • Identifies project delivery resources; i

  • Manage third party architects, designers, consultants, and contractors on all aspects of project delivery, documentation, and approvals.

    Financial Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage domestic and international project budgets and schedules. Complete projects in accordance with CIEE approved budgets and schedules.

  • Manage consultant and contractor payment applications, including review of invoices for conformance with contract documents.

  • Lead value engineering, cost control and construction bidding processes.
