Mesa West Capital, based in Los Angeles, is a newly established commercial real estate finance company founded by Jeff Friedman and Mark Zytko. The Company has raised $330 million of capital to date, from a variety of sources including a major international financial institution and a successful opportunity fund sponsor. The Company has raised separate capital for operations and for its investment programs, allowing it to be in the market as a well capitalized competitor in real estate finance. Mesa West Capital is a portfolio lender providing first mortgage loans and mezzanine loans for commercial real estate properties located in the western United States. The Company focuses on transactions between $5 million and $50 million. While the Company expects a significant portion of its financings to be in California, it seeks opportunities in markets from Denver to Hawaii.
