About the Company
The Gorge Commission is an interstate regional planning, leadership and public policy agency. In its role, the Commission develops and implements innovative land use, resource conservation and economic development policy in a two-state, six county, thirteen community region along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and Washington. The Commission’s planning program develops and implements a regional management plan through a complex system of regional planning and policy updates, interagency coordination, technical assistance, appellate hearings, and monitoring and enforcement. The Principal Planner collaborates closely with the Commission, the Executive Director, Counsel and a professional staff team to successfully fulfill the agency’s mission.
