About the Company
Founded in 1960, The JBG Companies is a fully-integrated commercial real estate investment, management and development company operating exclusively in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. JBG is primarily focused on urban-infill, transit oriented investment opportunities across product types, including office, residential, hotel, retail and mixed-use properties.
In 1999, JBG created its first co-investment opportunity fund. Since that time, JBG has raised approximately $5.5 billion of fund capital and has made over 160 investments on behalf of its investment funds. JBG is currently investing its eighth opportunity fund, JBG Investment Fund VIII, with capital commitments of $752 million, and recently closed on its ninth opportunity fund.
JBG has been recognized by the Washington Business Journal as a Best Place to Work and was recently named a Great Place to Work by Washingtonian Magazine.
