About the Company
The City of Los Angeles' Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) is the City's lead department for investing in businesses and real estate to grow and strengthen our local economy. The department oversees a variety of investment funds intended to seed fund innovation and micro-enterprise as well as gap finance larger catalytic real estate projects. EWDD manages the acquisition, leasing and disposition of City property for economic purpose, providing unique opportunities for high impact projects. The department was created in 2013 and is growing to meet its economic development mission.
