idea|span is currently seeking a Project Manager, experienced in workplace design and successful in managing all phases throughout the design process. The successful candidate will have overall project responsibility for team performance, client satisfaction, and creative project solutions that are functionally responsive and fiscally responsible.
Responsibilities, Requirements, and Qualifications
- Day-to-day point of client contact for project implementation.
- Prepare project team work plans - manage the internal team, outside consultants and client to schedule, budget, and contract. Lead and manage multiple teams.
- Work with the Project Principal to create a clear strategy to achieve project goals, objectives, and requirements.
- Consistently communicate project goals, objectives, and requirements to the internal idea|span project team.
- Foster successful teamwork within project teams for effective execution. Mentor for staff growth.
- Provide quality control.
- Actively track and manage financial performance of the project for firm profitability.
- Participate in sales interviews – knowledgeable, articulate, and compelling.
- Maintain existing and help to build new client relationships.
- Bachelor of Interior Design or Architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of experience, including demonstrated success as a Project Manager on interior design work place projects.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and building systems.
- Knowledge of materials, furnishings, and construction methods.
- Knowledge of technical aspects of documenting workplace design projects and use of Revit.
