About the Company
The Alaska Permanent Fund is a sovereign wealth style fund, owned by the State of Alaska and managed by the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation, an instrumentality of the State. APFC manages over $50 Billion in Fund assets throughout most sectors of the capital markets. Upon completion of the TransAlaska Pipelinein 1976, the Fund was initially seeded with oil revenue, and invested in the capital markets. Fund earnings have since been both saved through reinvesting, and also spent on dividend payments to qualified residents.
