PACE Equity works with commercial building owners who are looking for an alternative solution to financing to implement energy efficient projects and earthquake retrofits.

We are looking for candidates who are located in (San Diego, Orange County, Houston, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver, Utah) and have a local network in commercial real estate. Prior experience with financing tools such as tax credits, Mello-Roos, CID, TIF desirable.

The PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) program is a unique financing tool that addresses long-standing obstacles and has opened up a remarkable opportunity to finance retrofits existing buildings and new construction of commercial buildings. PACE uniquely breaks down long standing barriers to energy efficiency in the private sector marketplace. PACE legislation allows building improvements that result in utility savings to be funded by private capital and repaid via a long-term tax assessment. Tax assessments for the “Public Good” have been used for over 200 years to fund such things as firehouses, sidewalks, and sewers. In the last few years, over 30 states and 400 municipalities have passed legislation allowing PACE funded building improvements. Over 300 PACE projects have been completed in the commercial sector.

PACE Equity takes advantage of the savings afforded by PACE tax assessments to enable cost effective building improvements. Projects result in a comparatively low-cost equity investment in the property to improve the net operating income of the building.
